Inspired by the legacy of past expeditions, Freedom Summit 4 continues the mission to make mental health care accessible to all. What began in 2021 as a bold, pandemic-defying trek has grown into a powerful movement.
This year, adventurers will take on a new challenge—an awe-inspiring route across Bali’s iconic peaks, including Mount Agung, the “Freedom Trail” in Desa Ban, and a united community climb of Mount Batur.
Each summit supports Bali Bersama Bisa, Indonesia’s first non-profit mental health facility. After securing the center (Summit 1), launching its operations (Summit 2), and sustaining its impact (Summit 3), Freedom Summit 4 is a rallying cry to keep the doors open for thousands still waiting for help.

Each participant registering for Freedom Summit III will receive a crowdfunding campaign, such as "John’s Freedom Summit" or "Wayan’s Freedom Summit."
Depending on division selection, participants must raise a minimum amount of funds to cover their participation costs and contribute to the cause. To maximize impact, participants are encouraged to surpass the minimum fundraising target.

About Mountain Heroes Division:
WARNING:
This is a serious climb that requires 15+ hours of hiking with minimal to no sleep. It features climbing terrain, steep descent and some bouldering. This should only be considered by those in superb physical condition with mountaineering experience and/or extreme endurance activity experience

17/10/2025 - Night 1: Mount Abang Community Campsite
18/10/2025 - AM - Day 1 : Climbing Mount Abang Up and Down with other Heroes and the Mountain Explorers.
18/10/2025 - PM – Lakeside Batur Camping and Community BBQ
19/10/2025 - Early AM – Mount Batur Hike
*Farewell to other divisions* - being the journey to Base of Mount Agung.
19/10/2025 – Agung Hike PM – start up mount Agung to the Campsite – here we have campfire, food and a quick rest before proceeding up the rest of Bali’s Biggest Volcano.
20/10/2025 – AM/PM Agung Descent - Arriving to Peak of Mount Agung and Finishing Decent down the majestic mountain.
20/10/2025 PM - Transport Back to Komune Hotel
To participate in the Mountaineer Heroes category you need to have mountaineering experience, be in peak physical condition and/or have participated in ultra marathons, marathons, Iron Man or similar experiences. This division is HARD and has high risks associated with it.

About Mountain Explorers:
17/10/2025 - Night 1: Mount Abang Community Campsite
18/10/2025 - AM - Day 1: Climbing Mount Abang Up and Down the “Freedom Summit Trail” which is approximately 10 -12 hour hike up and down. This mountain includes some steep ascents and descents, sharp ridges and ropes. Intermediate climbing ability required.
18/10/2025 - PM – Lakeside Batur Camping and Community BBQ
19/10/2025 - Early AM – Mount Batur Hike
19/10/2025 – Final Trip – Transport provided back to the Komune Hotel.

Early Hours of AM – Optional Mountain Climb of Mount Batur with EVERYONE, including the mental health community in a final Tangerine Sunrise Push for Revolutionizing mental health here in Indonesia!
PM – Return to Komune Hotel with the Mountain Explorers!
